Fred Nelson Stover Jr.

Fred Nelson Stover, Jr., 70, husband of Brenda K. (Gibbs) Stover of Staunton died May 6, 2021 at his residence.

He was born July 22, 1950, in Staunton, a son of the late Fred N. and Elizabeth (Barkley) Stover.

Mr. Stover retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sergeant with 20 years of service.

He retired from Western State Hospital in the transportation department in 2018.

In addition to his wife, family members include a daughter, Michelle Renee; a sister, Laura S. Johnson (Charles); brothers, John J. Stover and Joe L. Stover (Jean); special friends, Jeanette and Cari Randolph; and special pets, Peanut, Bo, and Sparky.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond H. Stover.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by the Rev. Russell Heinrich.

Active pallbearers will be Doug Huffman, Billy Koiner, Wayne Armstrong, John J. Stover, Jr., Charlie Johnson, and Bud Sharp.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2021, in the Henry Funeral Home.
