Michael E. Cowgill, 57, husband of Terri Cowgill, died Friday, October 29, 2021 at Augusta Health.
Mr. Cowgill was born December 12, 1964 in Waynesboro to the late Eugene H. and Wanda (Terrell) Cowgill.
He last worked as a surgical technologist. He loved fishing, hunting, sports, cooking and his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 34 years, he is survived by two daughters, Ashley Berry (Travis) and Megan Cowgill; two brothers, Eugene Cowgill (Melinda) of Louisa and Roger Gilbert (Christina) of Fluvanna; four sisters, Victoria Cowgill (Vincent) of Louisa, Elizabeth Mews (Kevin) of Orange; Connie Fattachiyar, and Tammy Cowgill (Keith) of Stuarts Draft; six grandchildren, Ryan Cowgill-Fisher, Drew Cowgill-Fisher, Maddox Berry, Imarrie Berry, Raelynn Ellinger, and Nicholas Ellinger.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Henry Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 in the Henry Funeral Chapel by Rev. James Lundy. Burial will follow at Mountain View Mennonite Church Cemetery.
