Sidney F. Fitzgerald
Sidney “Bud” Franklin Fitzgerald, 80, husband of Sandra Fae (Benson) Fitzgerald, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born on August 8, 1942 in Augusta County to the late Sim Volley and Wilmer Lewis (Ennis) Fitzgerald.
He loved hunting and fishing, and he loved his grandchildren very much.
Mr. Fitzgerald was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired after forty-three years from Nibco as a tool/dye machinist.
In addition to his wife of fifty-six years, he is survived by two sons, Darrell Wayne Fitzgerald (Tammy Zimmerman) and Sim Franklin Fitzgerald (Tina); a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Taylor Fitzgerald; a grandson, Eric Levi Fitzgerald; and a special cousin, Dody Landes.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Eldon “Til” Von Fitzgerald, Sim Vernon Fitzgerald, Marshall Henry Fitzgerald, and Keith Lewis Fitzgerald and two sisters, Helen Marie (Fitzgerald) Landes and Madeline Faye (Fitzgerald) Byram.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 PM, Monday, December 5, 2022 at Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Reverend Russell Heinrich.
