GREENVILLE, VA… Alexander Murphy Cash, Jr., 50, husband of Janice (Smiley) Cash, of 349 Almo Chapel Road, died on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Cash was born on October 19, 1965 in Staunton, VA, a son of the late Alexander Murphy Cash, Sr. and Gaynell (Smith) Cash. Mr. Cash was employed as an equipment operator. In addition to his wife of 23 years, family members include a son, Ryan Walker Cash of Greenville; two sisters, Diane Cash Wright of Palmyra and Penny Denise Cash and Art Hugill of Staunton, a niece, Lindsey Dunivan and husband, Dusty; mother-in-law, Dorothy Smiley; a sister-in-law, Wanda Burns and husband, David; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and special friends; and a special cat, Zoey. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Clyde Smiley, Sr.; a brother-in-law, Clyde Smiley, Jr.; a great nephew Jacob and two great nieces Makaela and Makenzie. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Pastor Wyatt Mays. Family will receive friends anytime at the residence.
