ARMELDA G. RUCKER STAUNTON, VA Armelda Mae (Gibson) Rucker, 84, wife of Harry J. Rucker, Sr., of 695 Galena Road, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Augusta Health. She was born April 8, 1931, in Covington, a daughter of the late William O. and Arnetta (Miller) Gibson. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Rucker was employed by Western State Hospital. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to her husband of 65 years, family members include a son Harry J. Rucker, Jr. of Staunton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda Siple of Mint Spring and Sharon and David B. Stacy of Virginia Beach; a brother, William J. Gibson of Staunton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nancy Persinger of Covington and Geraldine "Gerrie" and Melvin "Buck" Wolfe of Petersburg; three grandchildren, Robin Agnor and her husband, Michael, of Grottoes, Larson Stacy and Madison Stacy, both of Virginia Beach; four great grandchildren, D. J., Brittany, Colby, and Ashton; and a great, great grandson, Hayden. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Cecil "Doug" Persinger. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dennis Bradley. Entombment will follow in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be David Stacy, Larson Stacy, Michael Agnor, Ryan Folweiler, Billy Gibson, and Andy Morris. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015 in the funeral home.
