Arnold W. Carper

Arnold “Wayne” Carper, 61, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Center for Acute Hospice in Charlottesville.

Mr. Carper was born in Augusta County on January 25, 1961, a son of the late John Cable Carper and Joyce (Sheffer) Carper.

Wayne was working at Arcam at the time of his death. He loved painting, building and was a jack of all trades. He also trained dogs and loved his music, his motorcycle, the outdoors and hunting.

He is survived by a brother, John Carper; a sister, Sandra Burns; a brother-in-law, Pat Burns, all of Staunton. Also surviving are one niece, three nephews, and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may visit at Sandra’s home at 297 Straith Street any time.
