Audrey Nadine Scott, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Miss Scott was born on December 2, 1942 in Highland County to the late Robert Wesley and Alma Mae (Dawson) Scott.

She retired as a nurse from the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents in Staunton. Prior to that she was a certified occupational health nurse at the Dupont Manufacturing Plant in Waynesboro.

She is survived by a sister, Wanda Octavia Scott and her sister-in-law, Kathleen R. Scott. Audrey is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, William Wesley Scott, Sr.; a sister, Genevieve (Scott) Washington; a brother-in-law, Robert J. Washington; and a nephew, Bernard Washington.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 13, 2023 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend Eric Strother. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Scott Falls, Charlie Wilson, Eugene Vaughn, Alfred Scott, Thomas Redman II, Isaiah Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.

Interment will follow the service at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.

The family would like to especially thank her friends, Eileen Cooper and Cathy Ryan who made many trips to visit Nadine. They were invaluable in working with the family to help them understand the medical terminologies and procedures that took place. The family also would like to thank the numerous family members and friends who came to visit Nadine during the time of her extended illness.
