BERNARD F. JOHNSON VERONA, VA Bernard Franklin "Bernie" Johnson, 48, died Sunday, August 21, 2011, at his residence. He was born October 12, 1962, in Staunton a son of Rosie Marie (Bosserman) Jett and the late Franklin D. Johnson. Mr. Johnson was employed as a truck driver. In addition to his mother, family members include a step-father, Steven Jett; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Jerry Richmond of Churchville; three nieces; one nephew; and his girlfriend, Cindy Blackwell of Verona. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011, in the Verona Full Gospel Church by the Rev. William Strickler. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
