Bernice F. Price

Bernice Mae Fridley Price, 101, widow of Luther Kenneth Price, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Heritage Hall in Lexington.

Bernice was born on August 6, 1922, to the late Henry Clayton and Mary Mae Nichols Fridley.

She graduated from Craigsville High School with honors.

Bernice was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church. With over fifty-five years of service, in 1998 she was awarded an Honorary Life Membership in the Presbyterian Women.

Bernice outlived many of her dear and cherished friends in the Staunton area where she resided all of her married life. She leaves behind many dear friends at Heritage Hall.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen K. Austin (William); her son, Roger K. Price; her grandsons, Brian W. Austin and Kenneth E. Price (Lynn); and her granddaughters, Angela M. Price and Kimberly Hill.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Sonya K. Price of Charleston, WV and Norman Hill, husband to her granddaughter, Kimberly Hill of West Virginia.

The family would like to thank the staff and administration of Heritage Hall Lexington for their loving patience, care and compassion they showed her and the family since 2014, and especially during the last years of her life when she suffered with dementia.

There will be no services.
