Beulah Bartley Snyder, 81, wife of Joe H. Snyder, 694 Phillip Street, Staunton, died December 10, 2015 at the residence after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born November 14, 1934, in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Dora Bartley. Prior to retirement, she was the co-owner of Donut King of Staunton for thirty years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Staunton and a member of the Women of the Staunton Moose. In addition to her husband, surviving family members include their son, John R. Snyder and wife, Paula; daughter, Penny A. Pannell and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Karla S. Colvin and husband, Adam, Tailer Pannell, Jordayn Pannell, Ryan and Alyssa Snyder; two great grandchildren, Alaina and Riley Colvin; two sisters, Phyllis Keith, Mayda Higgins; and a brother, Mike Bartley of Glasgow. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Snyder. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015 in the Henry Funeral Home by the Rev. Dr. Steve Traylor. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery, Steeles Tavern. Active pallbearers will be Phil Fix, Jake Anderson, Mike Cason, and Adam Colvin.
