MT. SIDNEY – Beverly Ann (O’baugh) Johnson, 91, widow of John “Joe” Joseph Johnson, Jr. passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at her residence.
She was born on September 19, 1930 in Waynesboro to the late John Perry and Una Rebecca (Troxell) O’baugh.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was a registered nurse and had previously worked at Rockingham Memorial and Kings Daughters Hospitals.
She is survived by four sons, J. Joseph Johnson III (Angela), Philip L. Johnson (Carolyn Rooney), Allan F. Johnson (Barbara), Matthew P. Johnson (Jennifer); five daughters, Theresa J. Reynolds, Carol J. Maddox (Russell Jr.), Jeannette J. Bruce (Brian), Linda J. Bradley and Mary J. Berry (Christopher); 25 grandchildren, Ashley Crawford, Leigh-Ann Pullen, Michael Johnson, James Joseph Johnson, Tobey McCracken, Paul Reynolds, Jr., Hannah Collado, Rebecca Ward, Jennifer Maddox, Emily Maddox, Russell T. Maddox III, Nicole Johnson, Brittany Johnson, McKenzie McWaters, Dillon Bruce, Derek Bruce, Karson Bruce, Claudette Johnson, Kendra Johnson, Aaron Bradley, Logan Bradley, Kayla Bradley, Samantha Barber, Raegan Berry and Tristan Berry; and 14 great grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers Tennyson and Donald O’baugh; and son-in-law Paul Reynolds.
A Rosary will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 5, 2022 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence following the burial.
