Billy W. Mutherspaw

Billy Wayne “Pops” Mutherspaw, 71, a jack of all trades, who loved to tinker on his old cars, passed away on Friday April 14, 2023 at his home in Verona, VA.

He was born on December 3, 1951 in Staunton, a son of the late, Warrick and Lola Lee (Roberson) Mutherspaw.

Prior to retirement, he owned and operated Mutherspaw Trucking.

Billy is survived by his long time partner, Wanda Smith; children, Teresa and Denise Mutherspaw; a brother, Richard “Ricky” Mutherspaw and a sister, Betty Joann “Jo” Gaines; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He enjoyed his old cars and spending time with his family, including his dog, Squeak and cat, Charlie. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Hebron Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
