Bobbie R. Caricofe

Bobbie Ray Caricofe, 72, husband of Rena Ann (Hollingsworth) Caricofe, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Augusta Health.

Bobbie was born on January 12, 1951 in Staunton to the late Waide Franklin, Sr. and Louise Frances (Roudabush) Caricofe.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Bobbie was also a member of the Antique Auto Club of America. He retired from VDOT.

In addition to his wife of 45 years, he is survived by a daughter Angela Dawn (Caricofe) Armstrong and husband Josh; three grandchildren, Taylor Byars, Jace Armstrong, and Emma Armstrong; two sisters-in-law, Heather Hawkinson and husband, Kevin, and Mary Carpineta; brother-in-law, Mark Szczepanski and wife Maureen; and a number of cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Waide Franklin Caricofe, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2023 at Henry Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2023 in Thornrose Cemetery by the Reverend Darryl Armstrong.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Brown, Mark Bowles, Jay Smith, John Roudabush, Larry Roudabush, Ron Roudabush, Gary Roudabush, Dale Roudabush, and Donald Flint.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends and co-workers from VDOT.
