Bruce "Eddie" E. Stone

Bruce “Eddie’ Edward Stone, 68, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Augusta Health Shenandoah House in Fishersville.

He was born on September 6, 1956, in Staunton to the late William Mason, Sr. and Dorothy Annis Huntley Stone.

Eddie was known to all as an avid outdoorsman. Whether it was camping, fishing, or hunting, he found immense joy in being surrounded by nature. His adventurous spirit was complemented by his passion for traveling. He could often be found on the beach or in the mountains exploring. 

Eddie took great pride in his accomplishments, especially in having built his own house, which stood as a testament to his hard work and dedication. In his professional life he was widely known as one of the best floor sanders in this area. His attention to detail and work ethic were second to none.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Elaine Stone; his daughter, Amanda “Mandy” Noelle Thompson; his brothers, William “Billy” Mason Stone, Jr. and Malcolm “Mike” Howie Stone; his sisters, Patricia “Pat” Lou Stone, Jane “Janie” Marie Hagee and Mindy Rene Stone; and his grandchildren, Adrianna Leigh Smith, Adalynn Grace Hiner and Christian Tyler Mitchell.
