CARNETHA A. "CONNIE" BOTKIN STAUNTON, VA Carnetha Elizabeth "Connie" (Arehart) Botkin, 85, widow of Lonnie Summerfield Botkin, of 208 Archer Street , died Monday, September 12, 2011 in Fishersville. She was born October 23, 1925 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Homer A. and Bettie W. (Swisher) Arehart. Prior to retirement she was employed at Simmons Parts Company as secretary. She was a member of Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter, Amy Botkin. Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Tammy Botkin and Michael and Kimberly Botkin; three grandchildren, Bo Botkin, David Botkin, and Courtney Botkin; and a sister, Mary Smith. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Augusta Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday September 14, 2011 at Henry Funeral Home and other times at the homes of her sons.
