Cecil "Sonny" M. Robinson

Cecil "Sonny" McKinley Robinson, 82, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023, at his residence. He was born on January 30, 1941, in Augusta County to the late Cecil McKinley Robinson, Sr. and Frances Myers Robinson.

Cecil married the love of his life, Carol Kesterson Robinson, and they shared countless beautiful moments together until her passing. His proudest accomplishment was the love and bond he shared with Carol which now continues unbroken in their heavenly home together.

Aside from his devotion to family, Cecil had several hobbies and interests that brought excitement to his life. He had a collection of eagles, which showcased his appreciation for their majestic beauty. Furthermore, he had an unwavering passion for NASCAR and was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr., particularly cheering for the iconic No. 3 car.

Surviving family members include his son, Jeff Robinson; his daughter, Kim Sprouse and husband, Rick; his grandsons, Matthew and Eric Sprouse; and a nephew, Jason Mader.

In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he is preceded in death by a sister, Kay Mader.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Cecil's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 17, 2023, at Thornrose Cemetery by Danny Pritchett.
