Charles Richard Masincup, 89, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Birch Ridge Senior Living in Staunton.

He was born on September 29, 1935, in Staunton, to the late Richard John Masincup and Tressie Belle Spitler Dooms.

Prior to his retirement, he served as a supervisor with AMP, Inc.

A sportsman at heart, his love for the outdoors shone through in his passion for fishing. He also enjoyed baseball, dedicating many years to coaching little league teams. His commitment to sports extended to his church, as he played on mixed league church softball teams for over three decades, demonstrating both his skill on the field and his camaraderie with fellow teammates. Additionally, he spent 25 years participating in Staunton Lanes bowling leagues, where he formed lasting friendships and memories with fellow bowlers.

Charles had also served as an elder at Olivet Presbyterian Church in Staunton, where he was a long-time and devoted member.

A devoted husband, Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Ann Hutchens Masincup. He is also survived by his two sons, Brad Allen and Terry Lee Masincup and his granddaughters, Amber Nicole Masincup Steppe and Kassie Lynn Masincup.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton with the Reverend Lee Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service, beginning at 6:00 PM.

Inurnment will be in Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton.
