Claude “Dan” Daniel Ramsey

Claude Daniel "Dan" Ramsey, 72, of Staunton passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024 in Fishersville, Virginia. 

Dan was born on February 19, 1952 in Staunton, VA to the late C.L. and Pauline (Fitzgerald) Ramsey.

He was a proud employee of Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative for over 43 years, where he dedicated his career to serving the community.

Dan had a passion for life that extended beyond his career. He enjoyed dabbling in the buying, selling, and trading of guns, a hobby that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with others who shared similar interests.

He is survived by his loved ones, including his wife of nearly 47 years, Linda Kay (Strait) Ramsey; his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Thea Ramsey; and his grandsons, Sawyer and Owen Ramsey, all of Macon, Georgia. He also leaves behind his brother, Michael Ramsey, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends who cherished him deeply.

In addition to his parents, Dan is preceded in death by his brothers, Les, Jack, and Jerry Ramsey; and his sisters-in-law, Arlene, Becky, and Brenda Ramsey.

As were his wishes, there will be no services.
