Cynthia B. Roadcap

Cynthia “Cindy” Ann (Bowers) Roadcap, 74, widow of the late Gary Thomas Roadcap, Sr., passed away on January 10, 2022 at Augusta Health.

She was born on July 9, 1947, in Staunton to the late Andrew Colaw and Helen Lucille (Argenbright) Bowers.

Mrs. Roadcap retired from Hollister and Target. She was a member of the Middlebrook Church of God. She had a passion for horses, country music, enjoyed watching Nascar and WWE wrestling.

Surviving family members include six children and their spouses, Carolyn “Carol” and Mark Steele, Gary, Jr. “Tommy” and Tammy Roadcap, Randall “Randy” and Martha Roadcap, Kevin and Sherri Roadcap, Matthew “Matt” and Pamela Roadcap, and Ashley Roadcap and fiancé, Andrew Taylor; 15 grandchildren and their spouses, Chelsea Shepherd (Nathan), Hank Roadcap (Andrea), Travis Roadcap (Jessica), Shyann Roadcap, Hunter Roadcap, Kayleen Roadcap, Jessica Roadcap, Emily Roadcap, Alye Luchard (David), Andy Roadcap, Abby Roadcap, Alayna Roadcap, Colby Roadcap, Emma Taylor, and Brayden Taylor; 8 great-grandchildren, Bryleigh and Paxton Shepherd, Lyra Roadcap, Dawson Roadcap, Chazlynn and Chandyn Roadcap, and Calye and Olivia Luchard; a sister, Diane Boyers, brother in law Garland Roadcap, a number of nieces, nephews & cousins and special friends, Sonny and Deanna Smith, Gracie Campbell, Wendy Hause, Shannon Walter, and other special friends; and special companion, her cat ‘Princess’.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Larry Strickler. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be AJ Nolan, Roger Bowling, Andrew Taylor, Doug Proffitt, Stacy Shifflett, and Jessica Roadcap.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
