David W. Brown

David Wilson Brown, 82, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 with his dear wife, Gail by his side.

Mr. Brown was born on July 26, 1940 in Augusta County to the late David Harmon and Elizabeth (Stogdale) Brown.

He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was a 50 year member of Staunton Lodge #13, AF&AM, a founding chair of the Staunton Historic Preservation Commission, a founding member of Valley Mission, and served in multiple capacities including past-president of the Staunton-Augusta Board of Realtors.

In addition to his wife of 46 years, he is survived by two sons, David W. Brown, Jr. (Gretchen) and Wyatt A. Brown (Tara); a daughter, Patty Lou Morrell (Bill); and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cynthia Lynn (Brown) Galderisi; and a sister, Joyce Ann Brown.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Christ United Methodist Church by Pastor Madison Long. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Campus Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939), Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad (1601 N. Coalter St., Staunton, VA 24401), Staunton Fire Department (500 N. Augusta St., Staunton, VA 24401) or Christ United Methodist Church (1512 Churchville Ave., Staunton, VA 24401).
