Deborah “Debbie” Lee Dixon walked through Heaven’s gates, Saturday, February 1, 2025.
She was born on September 12, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Lee and Georgene Deal. She is also predeceased by her sister, Diana. The reunion in Heaven must have been breathtaking.
After graduating high school, Debbie tried a few different career paths where she found her love of food and cooking - a passion she shared with her dad. Debbie was a chef in multiple restaurants and country clubs throughout her professional life. Debbie thrived wherever she went making lifelong friends along the way.
Those who knew Debbie will remember her not just for her exceptional culinary skills, but for her big heart, her ability to talk to anyone, and to find the good in each person she met. When you needed someone to confide in, share a laugh with, or take an impromptu drive, she was always there - ready to be the person you needed in that moment.
Outside of her professional life, she loved gardening - a passion she shared with her Mom and sisters, music of all kinds, driving country roads, and sightseeing in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with her best friend, Randy.
Debbie’s daughter Melissa, her sister Lisa, and countless friends and family members will miss her for the rest of their lives.
Pause for a moment to tuck Debbie’s memory safely in your heart, allowing it to bring comfort and joy as your recall your favorite moments together.
Please join us to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
