Donna T. Long

Donna Sue Turner Long, 71, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at her residence in Staunton.

She was born on May 7, 1953, in Staunton, to the late, Boyd Edgar and Mae Doyle Turner.

Donna spent her professional life working at McKee Foods in Stuarts Draft as a production operator.

Beyond her career she cherished the great outdoors, finding immense joy in camping adventures along with long truck rides with her husband. At home, her porch swing became a cherished spot where she would spend hours.

Most importantly, Donna's heart was always filled with love for her family. She took immense pride in her children and grandchildren. Her family was her greatest treasure.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Eugene Long; her son, Douglas Smith and his wife, Heather; her daughter, Kimberley Major and her husband, Jeremiah; her brother, Boyd “Bobby” Olin Turner; her brother-in-law, Dennis Long; her grandchildren, Laura Kate Cash and her husband, Nathan, Alayna Major and her fiancé, Kyle Wingfield, and Kenley, Everley, and Reed Smith; and her special friends, Patty Zemonek and Ginny Turner.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Edgar and Royce “Rocky” Dale Turner; and her sisters, Glenna Mae Turner and Wilma Frances Turner Rowe.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton with Reverend Russell Heinrich officiating.

Active Pallbearers will be Darrel and David Rowe, Matthew and Robbie Turner, Mikey Little, Justin Burkholder, and Derek Turner.
