Donny T. Roadcap

Donny “Don” Thomas Roadcap, 85, left this world on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. He will be sadly missed but will always hold a special place in our hearts.

He was the first of six children, born on July 11, 1938, in Rockingham County, to the late Malcolm Thomas and Madaline Virginia Redifer Roadcap.

He was the widower of Wanda June White Roadcap, the love of his life. He missed her so much since her passing. It can only be imagined what a beautiful reunion that must have been!

He was a proud retiree of the Waynesboro DuPont plant, where he served as an electrician.

Donny and Wanda had only one child, Julie Roadcap Brown. In addition to their daughter, Donny is survived by his grandchildren, Jordan Sipe-Maybush and her husband, Damon and Michael Lee Brown, II and his wife, Cheyenne, and his two loving great-grandchildren, Dallas and Tyson Maybush. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren made Donny and his wife so proud and were the apples of their eye. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Roadcap and his wife, Laura and his sister, Linda Patterson and her husband, Elwood.

In addition to his parents and loving wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Roadcap, and sisters, Polly Hanger and Sandra Roadcap.

A funeral service will be held at Verona United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, with the Reverend Ed Rigg officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton.
