Dottie W. Nuckols

Dottie Lee White Nuckols, 75, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 25, 2023, at Waynesboro Manor.

She was born on August 10, 1947, in the picturesque town of Blue Grass to the late Arnett Lee White, Sr. and Dorothy Beulah Rexrode White Crummett.

Dottie was a wonderful woman who touched the lives of those around her with her kind and loving nature. Dottie's journey through life was filled with warmth and compassion. As a talented seamstress and quilt maker, she poured her heart into creating beautiful pieces that brought joy to those lucky enough to receive them. The love and dedication she put into each stitch were reflections of Dottie's nurturing spirit.

Family meant everything to Dottie, and she treasured the moments spent with her children and grandchildren immensely. Her family was her lifeline, and their love filled her heart with immeasurable joy. Surviving Dottie are her children, Pamela Michelle Nuckols Sprouse and her husband, Matthew, Gregg Eugene Nuckols, and Ashley Dawn Nuckols Powell and her husband, Chris; her sisters, Wanda Lou White Craig and her husband, Calvin “Buddy”, Carolyn Sue White Coffey and her husband, Charles, and Sandra Kay White Jackson and her husband Jimmy; her brother, Arnet Lee White, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The legacy of love Dottie leaves behind is magnified through the beautiful relationships she formed with her grandchildren. Kaylee Pitsenbarger, Cameron Sprouse, Coby Sprouse, Landen Powell, and Savannah Powell were blessed to have Dottie as their granny. Their lives were enriched by the wisdom and affection she shared.

In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Moletice Nuckols and her step-father, Granville "Bill" Crummett.

Dottie was a woman of tremendous heart and spirit. Her kindness knew no bounds, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She will forever be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the warmth she radiated towards others.

The family would like to especially thank Dottie's caregivers, Mindy Clem and Candi Shiflett.
