Edward E. Hartman

Edward Eugene Hartman, 68, of Staunton, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, at his residence. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Born on December 3, 1955, in Staunton, to Anna Bell Hoover and the late Ralph William Hartman.

Taking over Hartman Plumbing and Heating in 1999 from his father, Edward continued the family business with pride and integrity. His career was a testament to his work ethic and his willingness to carry on his father's legacy.

Described as hardworking, Edward also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for hunting and cherished moments spent with his family. One of his proudest accomplishments was the love he had for his family, especially his grandkids.

Edward will be deeply missed by his surviving family and friends, including his wife of 52 years, Deborah Louise Riddle Hartman; a sister, Jenny Louise Hartman Hogsett (Donnie); his daughter, Barbara Ann Hartman Buchanan (Mike); his son, Daniel Eugene Hartman; his grandsons, Steven Tyler Buchanan, and Gage Daniel Hartman; his granddaughters, Alyssa Brooke Shaffer (Henley) and Addison Blair Hartman, his great-grandson, Jayce Daniel Shaffer and a brother-in-law, Lynn Hite.

There will be a private interment at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton at a later date.
