EDWARD J. ROXBURY, JR. VERONA, VA Edward James Roxbury, Jr. 85, of 11 Niblick Lane, Verona, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at his residence. He was born August 20, 1925 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a son of the late Edward James, Sr. and Marquerite (Sessions) Roxbury. Lt. Col. (Ret.) Roxbury graduated from West Point Military Academy in 1946. He received a masters degree in international relations from Columbia University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 20 years of service. After his retirement from the military, he was employed in international marketing for 20 years. He was an avid golfer. Family members include a son, Mark E. Roxbury of Rockbridge Baths; two daughters, Susanne J. Roxbury of Arlington, and Laura E. Roxbury and her husband, Tom Meloy of McLean; five grandchildren, Kelly Ostrom and her husband, Tim and their children, Alex and Christian of Richmond, Everett Roxbury and his wife, Nicole and their child, Maisie of Reston, and Jessica, Thomas, and Kelsey Meloy of McLean; the love of his life, Carren Bragg of Verona; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Jeanette Knutson. The family will receive friends from 1 until 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the cabin, Camp Okahawis, 410 Camp Hill Lane, Rockbridge Baths, VA 24473.
