Elsie Kelley Botkin, 89, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
She was born on October 3, 1934, in Deerfield to the late Ernest Noah and Myrtha Fink Kelley.
Elsie graduated from Churchville High School. After graduating she worked for the Coat Factory for several years in Staunton. She was an avid homemaker and loved gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her sons, Roscoe Botkin, Jr. and his wife, Myra and Greg Botkin and his wife, Lisa; her grandchildren, Christopher Botkin and his wife, Jessica of Staunton and Christopher Cary and his wife, Jennifer of Fishersville; her great grandchildren, Harper Jane Botkin, Jon David Lyle, Taylor Gibson, and Callie Gibson; a sister, Sandra Steele of Waynesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Roscoe Botkin, Sr., she is preceded in death by her brothers, “Ozzie” Lloyd Kelley and Ernest U. Kelley; her sisters, Laverne Lovegrove, Myrtha Virginia “Jean” Kelley, Louise Graybeal and Vivian Necia Mongold.
A graveside service at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Russell Heinrich officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
