Ethel Marie Hicks

ETHEL B. HICKS WAYNESBORO, VA Ethel Marie (Booth) Hicks, 87, widow of Robert James Hicks, of 1221 Rosser Ave., died Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Avante at Waynesboro. She was born April 22, 1927, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Floyd William and Gracie Leona (Hanger) Booth. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Woody Booth; and a sister, Ruby Booth. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Lee and Lena Booth of Waynesboro; two brothers, Floyd William Booth of Crimora and Richard Booth of New Hope; a granddaughter, Laura Lee Puffenbarger; and one great grandson, Brandon. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015, in the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Tom Murphy.
