STAUNTON, VA Mrs. Faye E. Stevens, 85, widow of Claude "Steve" Stevens, passed away on Saturday, September 07, 2013 at Shenandoah Nursing Home. She was born on September 9, 1927, in Staunton, the daughter of the late Thomas and Sally Esther (Dalton) Maybush. During her life, Mrs. Stevens was employed by Reid's Grocery Store as a butcher, Central Drug Store and Augusta County Public Schools in food services. She was very active in Orange City United Methodist Prison Ministry in Orange City, FL and the Country Village Retirement Community. Her family members include three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Janice Wymer of Roanoke, Charles and Diane Wymer of New Hope, and Wayne and Bonnie Wymer of Stuarts Draft; six grandchildren, Kathryn Moran and her husband, Lance, Lucy Hartmen, Thomas Craig Wymer, Charles Andrew Wymer and his wife, Meghann, Jessica Hall and Karla Kay Wymer, six great grandchildren, Allison Jane and Casey Leigh Moran, Olivia Hartman, Addison & Lorelei Wymer and Gabriella Hall; and a special niece, Carolyn Pence and her husband, Donald. Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and James Maybush; and two sisters, Betty Bell and Edna Smith. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Dr. Michael Houff and Rev. Frank Hall. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the funeral home.
