FLOYD L. WISEMAN ROANOKE, VA Floyd Lucas Wiseman of Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke, passed away on October 13, 2015. Floyd was born on June 15, 1926, in Augusta County, a son of the late Archibal H. and Emma (Lucas) Hanger Wiseman. He graduated from Mt. Sidney High School. He served in the United State Army with Headquaters 94th Anti Aircraft Artillery Group in the Pacific Theater receiving rank of Corporal. He was awarded the Pacific Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in November 1946. Floyd retired from Reynolds Metals Company of Grottoes in June of 1988 with 25 years of service. His position was Utility Man in various parts of the plant. He was a quiet, soft-spoken man with a smile that warmed your heart. He enjoyed baseball and golf. Floyd was an avid New York Yankees fan. His favorite baseball cap had Yankees on it and he wore it almost until his death. On July 7, 1959, he married Lucille Virginia Mace. She preceded him in death in 1977. He is survived by a niece and caregiver, Carole Hanger Hinton and her husband, Jim, of Staunton, along with several nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military rites will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kevin W. Haynes on Friday, October 23,2015, at 12 noon in the Culpeper National Cemetery of Virginia, 305 U.S. Avenue, Culpeper. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. .
