George E. Kier

George Edward Kier, 75, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville.

George was born on March 2, 1948 to the late Charles “Buck” Manuel, Sr. and Cleopatra Kier Kelley.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his daughters, Mika Rhiannon Kier Wills and Keyshia Charmaine Miller; his sisters, Sarah E. Kelley and Sheila D. Kelley Sawyer and her husband, William; his brothers, Donald L. Kelley and James N. Kelley; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and loving cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Shawn Powell; his sisters, Patricia Anne and Nancy Charmaine Kelley; and his brothers, Charles Manuel, Jr. and Shawn M. Kelley.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Henry Funeral Home with the Reverend Elaine Rose officiating.
