George C. Kyle

George Clark Kyle, 88, widower of Ingrid Christine Hankins Kyle, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville.

George was born on December 28, 1934 in Washington, DC to the late George Floyd Kyle and Zenna Belle Boone Polatty.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was also a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, volunteered at the Verona Food Pantry, and enjoyed fishing and watching football.

He is survived by his daughters, Laura Kyle Adams and her husband, David and Kathryn Kyle and Scott Reeves; his son, Michael Kyle and his wife, Yuko; his grandsons, Justin Kyle and his wife, Jennifer, Kenny Puffenbarger and his wife, Kelly, Cory Kyle and Steven Kyle; his granddaughters, Amber Rardin and her husband, Thomas, and Emi Kyle; his great-grandsons, Jacob, Mason and Abbott Kyle and Micah Rardin.

In addition to his parents and his loving wife, he is preceded in death by his son, John William Kyle; his brother, Jack Floyd Kyle; his half-sister, Margaret Clair Polatty Piekarczyk; and his step-father, George Nelson Polatty, Sr.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Staunton with the Reverend John Craft officiating.
