George H. Redden

George Halsey Redden, 89, husband of Betty R. Redden, died peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, and thus, entered into his eternal Homecoming.

George was born on June 6, 1933, in Orange, NJ to the late George Halsey Redden, Sr. and Ruth Caroline (Strauss) Redden.

He was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church. George graduated from Lehigh University and had a successful career as a mechanical engineer in the HVAC industry with Westinghouse/McQuay. George had a passion for automobiles and boats, which culminated in building his own classic wooden boat “My Sweetie”.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jeffrey Scott Redden (Lisa), Leslie Redden Vereide Jones (James H.), Miles Alexander Orndorff (Sherry Ann), and Mark Austin Orndorff (Melissa Young); eleven grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday November 12, with a reception to follow at Trinity Episcopal Church, officiated by The Reverend William “A.J.” Heine.
