Gregory Allan Sams, 62, passed away on February 13, 2023 at his residence in Staunton.
Gregory was born on January 1, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois to the late James Howard and Brownie Lenora Loan Sams.
He owned and operated G & K Facilities Maintenance, Inc. for over twenty years.
He loved his children and grandchildren very much. Gregory was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved his Harley Davidson.
He is survived by his children, Sheena Marie Sams, Shaun Adam Sams, and Margo Lynae Sams, as well as his sister, Janice Sams Shannon, and his grandchildren, Gabby, Madison, Fallon, Brooklyn, Weston, Easton, and Willow.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Elaine Sams Kelley; and his brothers, Larry Sams and James “Buddy” Howard Sams, Jr.
The family would also like to extend their thanks to the Hospice of the Shenandoah and Augusta Health Shenandoah House.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Shenandoah (64 Sports Medicine Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939).
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
