Harvey Benton Mars

HARVEY B. MARS FISHERSVILLE, VA Harvey Benton Mars. 70, husband of Faye (Rodgers) Mars, of 22 Westmoreland Lane, Fishersville, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 in Waynesboro. He was born February 4, 1941 in Barren Ridge, a son of the late Horace George and Ethel Mae (Braden) Bosserman Mars. Prior to retirement, Mr. Mars had been employed by American Safety Razor Company as a production analyst. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army and a member of the Stuarts Draft congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed singing, listening to music, and watching football. In addition to his wife of 27 years, family members include a sister, Shirley B. Pannell of Stuarts Draft, and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011 in Oak Lawn Mausoleum by Brother Will Hufsmith. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Henry Funeral Home ( www.henryfuneralhome.net ) and other times at the residence of his sister, 208 Wayne Avenue, Stuarts Draft.
