IRMA W. THOMPKINSON FISHERSVILLE, VA Irma Lee (Witten) Thompkinson, 89, widow of Earl Joseph Thompkinson, of 83 Crossroads Lane, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015, in the Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born January 6, 1926, in Monroe, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Henry Lee and Lue Crissy (Parks) Witten. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Thompkinson was employed by Montgomery Ward and Rask Florist. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Brian Scott Thompkinson; a daughter, Joann Marie Karmal; two brothers, Raymond Frank Witten and James Houston; and a sister, Crissie Lou Parks. She is survived by a daughter, Dianna and husband Scott Davenport of Middlebrook; a son, John C. Thompkinson and wife Brenda of Georgia; three grandchildren, Ricky Sutton and wife Michelle of Waynesboro, Kevin Davenport of Staunton, and Kelly Clymore and husband Dusty of Staunton; five grandchildren out of the area; local great grandchildren, Heather Brown and husband Steven of Staunton, Derrick Sutton, and Hayley, Peyton and Mason Clymore; four out-of-town great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Mt. Hermon Cemetery by the Rev. JoAnn Bunn.
