James "Jim" Howard Daugherty

James “Jim” Howard Daugherty, 73 passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Conroe, TX.

Jim was born on July 29, 1949 in Pasadena, Texas to the late Howard Lee Daugherty and Joyce (Gallien) Daugherty.

He was employed as a bricklayer for over 35 years and was a member of Bricklayers & Trowel Trades International and Bricklayers Gulf Coast Region.

Jim had a love of the outdoors, where he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and attending American Mountain Men Rendezvous. He was an exceptionally talented stone mason and woodworker and enjoyed making gifts for his loved ones. He lived in Staunton, Virginia for 25 years but returned to his home state of Texas in 2010.

Jim had a good sense of humor, a caring heart, and he loved his family deeply. He was baptized at The Cowboy Church in Montgomery, Texas.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Kim Falco and husband, Tim; Jami King and husband, Nick; his sister, Sandy Trotter and husband, Charles, Jr.; his grandsons, Conner Peters and Sawyer King; nephew, Bryan Trotter and wife, Kandy; great-nephews, Karson, and Kandon Trotter; and great-niece, Karly Trotter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Melissa Trotter.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Woodland Manor Nursing Home, Conroe Texas.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Crematory in the Woodlands, TX. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow the service at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
