CRAIGSVILLLE - James Franklin Revis, 86, husband of Linda (Mann) Revis, passed away on February 27, 2022 at his residence.
James was born on August 17, 1935 in Canal-Winchester, OH to the late Mel and Mildred (Fetheroff) Revis. He moved to Kentucky as a child.
In 1954 he proudly joined the United States Air Force where he spent ten years in security. The year after his honorable discharge, he went to work for the National Security Agency at Fort Meade, MD and retired ten years later as the branch chief of his department. Upon retirement, he bought property in Augusta County and relocated his family there. A great deal of his time was spent spoiling the generations to come. He loved his role as patriarch of his family.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #13 of Staunton, the Millboro Masonic Lodge #28, and was a past member and president of the Craigsville Lions Club.
He is survived by his first wife, Lottie Revis, and his current wife Linda Revis; his children, Jay Revis and Jennifer Knight (Donald); his stepdaughters, Lindsay (Rogan) Sorensen and Jessica (Jon) Curtis; his grandchildren, Catherine Johnson, Anthony Knight, Andrew Knight, and Kelly Revis; his step-grandchildren, Paxton and Amara Curtis; his great-grandchildren, Josh, Aiden, Tristan, Logan, Ryan, Gabe and Eva; his great-great-grandchildren, Jasper and Olivia; and his beloved pets, Toby and Abbi.
In keeping with his wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Family and friends will be received at the home on Wednesday March 2, 2022 from 3:00pm – 7:00pm for a celebration of his life.
