James “Jimmy” Everett Taylor, Jr. of Greenville, 70, husband of Sherry (Ralston) Taylor, passed away on April 13, 2022 at his home.
Jimmy was born on October 16, 1951 in Lebanon, VA to the late James Everett Taylor, Sr. and Kazel O’dear (Shepard) Taylor.
He worked as a driver for UPS for over 33 years and was currently driving for 10 Roads. Jimmy had a great faith in God. He loved driving his RV to spend time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching baseball and hockey. Whether coaching or as a spectator, Jimmy was always there for his two sons, his pride and legacy.
In addition to his wife of 27 years, he is survived by his sons, Jamie Taylor of Fort Defiance and Jonathan Taylor (Jennifer) of Port Hueneme, CA; his step-daughter, Hannah Stickley (Axl) of Verona; his sister, Cindy (Taylor) Sheffield of Staunton; his one surviving uncle, William “Mickey” Taylor (Elizabeth “Libby”); his grandchildren, Natalee, Kendall, Collin, and Kirra Taylor; his nieces, Nikki Sheffield (fiancé, Rusty Woolridge) and Sarah Ralston; his nephews, Aaron Sheffield and Ben Ralston; a number of cousins; and his fur babies, Bo and Charlie.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Grand Caverns, 5 Grand Caverns Dr., Grottoes. The family will receive friends anytime from 12 - 4 PM.
