James S. Wriston

James Scott Wriston, 68, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at his residence in Stuarts Draft.

He was born on April 5, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late James Scott, Sr. and Joetta Lois Weller.

James dedicated over thirty years of his career as a district supervisor at McDonald's. James was not only devoted to his profession; he was a skilled pilot, as well as an avid horse rider who had a deep love for the outdoors. He loved spending time in the mountains and had a keen interest in firearms. Above all, he took immense pride in his family, particularly in his grandson. 

He is survived by his daughters, Candace Wriston and her mother, Linda, and Stephanie Monroe; his sister, Pamela Mader; his brother, Brian Wriston and his wife, Charlotta; his sister, Tina Jordan; his grandson, Chancellor Deas; his stepmother, Sandra Wriston; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, James Christopher Wriston; and his brothers, Kirt Alan Wriston and Robert Wriston.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
