Jean Savannah Saufley. Bazzrea, 85, widow of Sidney "Sid" Albert Bazzrea, Jr., passed away on January 28, 2024, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. She was born on July 9, 1938, in Verona to the late Lertie Strickler Saufley and Lillie Savannah Showalter Saufley.
Jean had a long and fulfilling career as a store clerk in the retail industry, where she met numerous people and brightened their lives with her warm smile and kind words.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Jean was an active member of St. Paul's Church. Her faith played an integral role in her life, guiding her actions and allowing her to spread love and compassion to those around her.
Jean will forever be remembered for her love and devotion as a mother. She leaves behind her two daughters, Teresa "Terri" Manley Lilley and husband, Don H. Lilley Jr., and Patricia "Patti" Anne Butler and fiancé, Rickie Graves. Among the surviving family members is Jean's adored feline companion, lovingly known as "Punkin."
In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley Lindberg Saufley, Fred Woodrow Saufley, Dudley Roland Saufley, Sidney Stuart Saufley, Luther "Frank" Franklin Saufley Sr., Strickler Amon Saufley, and her sisters, Helen Virginia Saufley Sheets, and Bessie Rebecca Saufley Berry.
