Jeremy "Bubba" Lee Conner, 35, a beloved son, devoted father, loving partner, and passionate coach, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, leaving behind a legacy filled with laughter, love, and the spirit of sportsmanship.

Born on March 22, 1989, in Albemarle County, to his loving parents, Wayne Lee and Beverley Ardelia Campbell Conner, Bubba enjoyed a life that embodied the values of hard work, community, and family.

For seventeen years, Bubba dedicated himself to his career as a truck driver, most recently working with Sysco. His commitment to his profession was only rivaled by his dedication to the many young athletes whose lives he touched. A remarkable athlete himself, Bubba played softball and took his love for the sport a step further by founding "Bubba Softball," a recreational team league that brought joy and camaraderie to many, and coaching a travel baseball team known as the “Outlaws”.

Bubba's passion extended beyond playing; he was an ardent coach of football, basketball, and especially baseball. As a director of field maintenance for the Churchville Diamond Club, he devoted countless hours to ensuring that the playing conditions were impeccable. In a testament to his impact and dedication, the field upon which young players now compete was named "Bubba's Field," ensuring that his spirit would continue to inspire future generations.

Despite his busy life, Bubba's greatest pride and joy came from his son, Moxon. To Bubba, Moxon was his world, and he embraced every opportunity to share his passions with him. Known for his infectious smile and playful spirit, he was always the jokester, bringing lightness and laughter to the baseball diamond and beyond.

Bubba's warmth and kindness extended deeply into his family life. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved “ol' lady” and partner-in-life, Cassandra "Cassie" Leigh Spradlin; his cherished son, Moxon Lee Conner; his stepdaughters, Cadence Spradlin and Bailey Tribble; his sister, Amber Lee Conner; his brother, Travis Wayne Conner, and his significant other, Taylor Myers; his nieces, Bailee and Karrsyn Conner; his nephews, Micah and Noah Conner; a special cousin, Abigail Crosby; his paternal grandparents, Curtis and Brenda Conner; his maternal grandfather, Junior Franklin Campbell and his wife, Pam; his aunt, Melissa Crosby and her husband, Tony; his uncles, Jeffrey Franklin Campbell and Curtis Anthony Conner; and his in-laws, Barry and Debbie Spradlin; and numerous other cousins, family members, and friends.

Bubba was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Shelby Jean Campbell.
