John L. Miller

John Larry Miller, 57, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

He was born on June 24, 1967, in Staunton to the late Guy Larry Allman and Judith Ann Withers Wolfe.

John embodied a rugged spirit working as a roofer for Wilfong Roofing then later installing fencing for Code Red. A man that relished in the thrill of adventure, John was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. His love for the outdoors was only matched by his devotion to his grandchildren, with whom he created lasting memories that will be cherished forever.

He is survived by his significant other, Sue Ellen Lloyd; his son, Matthew Stuart Mawyer; his daughter, Shania Cheyenne Miller (Ector); his brothers, Scott Miller (Donna), Ronnie Miller (Sherry) and Mikey Allman: his sisters, Amy Harris (Brian), Annette Downs (Scott) and Jennifer White (Curtis); his grandchildren, Gracelynn, Remington, Heavan, Meila Mae, Lincoln, Emily and Octavia; and his nieces and nephews, Anthony, Stephanie, Christina, Jaytin, Brandon, Crystal, Victoria, Colt , Taz, Courtney, Hayden, Reba, Payton, Krystal, Kyndall, Kadyn, Kion, Kynzleigh, and Kyrstin.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his son, John (Cody) Miller and step-father, Bob Camden.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Theresa Moore officiating.
