Jonathan Nathaniel Reese

JONATHAN N. REESE WAYNESBORO, VA.. Jonathan Nathaniel Reese, 30, husband of Rebecca Ann (Maddox) Reese, of 12 Johnson Hill Drive, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond. He was born December 1, 1980, in Lexington, a son of Gary Oliver and Tammy (Gum) Reese. Mr. Reese was a farmer and mechanic and an avid lover of nature. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Thelma (Davis) Gum and close friend, Jonathan Tanksley. In addition to his wife and parents, family members include a daughter, Brianna Marie Reese of Waynesboro; three sisters, Carla Baker, Brandi Radford, and Elizabeth Reese, all of Staunton; a brother-in-law, Russell Maddox, III; two sisters-in-law, Jennifer Maddox and Emily Maddox; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carol and Russell Maddox, Jr.; ex-wife, Mannessa Newlen; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Hollis G. Dodge. Burial will be at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be Bradrick Ingram, Jonathan Gum, Jamie Shipe, and Nathan Rexrode. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 in the funeral home.
