Joseph F. Glovier, Jr.

Joseph “Joe” Fadeley Glovier, Jr., 83, of Staunton, passed away at his home on Friday, January 24, 2025.

Joe was born on April 2, 1941, to the late Joseph Fadeley Glovier, Sr. and Janet Lee Moore Glovier.

He was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Arthur Edward and Flossie Cook Moore, and his paternal grandparents, Rev. David Franklin and Ethel Fadeley Glovier. He is survived by numerous cousins and special friends, Ellen Wampler, Gary Firebaugh, and Jack Clem.

He was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School’s Class of 1958. After retiring from American Safety Razor Company in Verona, he joined Clem & Company and then Dick Firebaugh Real Estate as a real estate agent.

Joe enjoyed watching animals around his home, flower gardening, cooking, traveling, and reading historical literature. Also, he was an excellent photographer.

At his request, there will be no services.

Inurnment at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Mount Sidney will be at a later date.
