Juanita L. Landes
Raphine - Juanita (Lotts) Landes, 73, wife of Edward "Danny" Daniel Landes, Jr., passed away on May 8, 2022 at UVA Medical Center.
Juanita was born on November 10, 1948 to the late McDowell David and Clara Virginia (Withers) Lotts.
Juanita was known by many names: “Toots”, “Gammie”, and “Nita”, but everyone knew her as a caregiver first and foremost.
“Toots” loved watching basketball, especially UVA and the Golden State Warriors. She and Danny were together for 50 years and were wed on January 8, 1981. She was loved deeply and will never be forgotten.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sisters, Judy Wolfe, Brenda Sue Lotts, Betty Jo Allman, and Mary "Ginny" Shaffer; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lotts, and Sharon Roadcap (Tommy); her granddaughter, Ashley L. Knox (Donald); great-granddaughter, Maci McGann; and a number of very close and beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother, John David Lotts.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 5:30 - 7:30 P.M. at Henry Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Henry Funeral Home by Mr. Derek Almarode. Burial will follow at Old Providence Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Donald Knox, Curtis White, Taz Miller, Colt Miller, Jimmy Ford, and Phillip Myrtle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church, 3204 Cold Springs Rd, Greenville, VA 24440.
