Juanita Mae Moran

Juanita Mae Moran, 78, wife of Charles Dean Moran, passed away on March 6, 2022 at Brookdale Salem Assisted Living in Salem.

Juanita was born on October 8, 1943 in Monroe, Virginia, a daughter to the late Lucien and Cora Hamilton Branham.

She worked in health care as a Certified Nursing Assistant, first in Orlando and then with Avante in Waynesboro. She was a devoted member of Greenville United Methodist Church. Juanita loved to travel and together with Dean enjoyed their many visits to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

In addition to her loving husband, whom she wed on November 11, 2011, she is survived by her daughters, Debbie Short and Bertha Showalter, and her grandchildren, Stephanie Burleigh and Tyler and Taylor Duncan.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her brothers, Branch, Delmar, Bo, Gene Autry Branham, and her sisters, Shirley Hanna and Gertrude Rice.

A graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Jim Bollinger on Thursday March 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton.
