Judith Lane Wimer Strickler, 81, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She leaves behind a legacy marked by kindness, family devotion, and a passion for the simple pleasures in life.

Judy was born on March 27, 1943, in Franklin, a daughter of the late Alvinzie Morgan, Sr. and Helen Virginia Jack Wimer. 

Judy dedicated twenty years of her career to Staunton Steam Laundry. 

Outside of her professional life, she embraced the beauty of the world around her, taking joy in riding on scenic backroads and indulging in her love for westerns, particularly those featuring the iconic Matt Dillon and John Wayne. She also enjoyed a good taco.

Family was at the heart of Judy's life. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Judith's warmth and affection for her family were evident to all who knew her; she loved them deeply and created lasting memories.

She is survived by her sons Jerry Lee Strickler and his wife, Carolyn, and Otis Sylvester Strickler, Jr., and his wife, Debra; her daughter, Mellony Fontaine Strickler Williams and her husband, Robert; her granddaughters, Kisha Moore and Selena Strickler; her great-granddaughter; Kayleigh "Pickle" Smith; and her brothers, Leroy Allen and Warren Wendell Wimer. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Otis Sylvester Strickler, Sr,; her daughter, Mickey Kay Strickler Massie; and her brothers, Alvinzie Morgan, Jr., Harry Leon, Charles Casper, Walter Reid, and Boyd Hale Wimer.

As per her request, there will be no services.
