Kenneth Allen Asbury

Kenneth "Hippy" Allen Asbury, 51, of Raphine died Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Augusta County. He was born April 17, 1961 in Tazwell County, a son of William and the late LaRue Frances Asbury. In addition to his fiancé, Susie Birchfield, family members include three brothers, Robert Asbury of Capon, Jimmy Asbury of Craigsville, and David Asbury and wife Annette of Timberville; and a sister, Barbara Davis of Newport News. He was preceded in death by his mother, LaRue Frances Asbury, a brother, William Asbury, Jr., and a sister, Teresa Sue Thompson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Henry Funeral Home by the Rev. Russell Heinrich. Interment will follow Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Terry Burchett, Shane George, Curtis Strickler, Gary Agee, Bruce Hardeman and Lurch Tomlin. Honorary pallbearer will be Nathan Asbury. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8, Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in Henry Funeral Home.
