Kenneth C. LaPorte, 95, widower of Evelyn Lyle (Grant) LaPorte, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at his residence.
He was born on April 29, 1927 in Staunton to the late Glen D. and Sada Mae (Caricofe) LaPorte.
Mr. LaPorte served in the US Army. He retired as a business owner in residential construction.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, KC and Cheri LaPorte; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Anita LaPorte; his five grandchildren, Kacey and Andy Bunch, Megan and Aaron Jaggers, Josh and Loren LaPorte, Gabby LaPorte, and Jackson LaPorte; seven great-grandchildren; and lifelong friend, Richard Kirkland.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Brown.
Funeral services will be private.
Pallbearers will be Josh LaPorte, Jackson LaPorte, Andy Bunch, Aaron Jaggers, Todd Fretwell, and Raymond Desper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Augusta County Market Animal Show, P. O. Box 2841, Staunton, VA, 24402.
The family would like to thank his caregiver, Charlotte Brown, and the Legacy Hospice nurses, Diane, Sarah and Dan.
